Electronics repair enquiries in Perth
Some equipment needs a closer look before anyone can say whether repair is practical. Mark's background includes electronics repair and hardware projects. Send the device details and symptoms so we can discuss whether it is a suitable job to assess. We do not repair white goods.

Tell Mark what's happening
Call or send a message in your own words. You don't need the technical name.
Agree the plan and cost first
Mark asks a few questions, explains the options and quotes the job. Work starts once you approve the quote.
Fixed, checked and explained
Mark does the agreed work and checks with you before doing anything extra. Before he finishes, he goes over the result with you, so you know what was fixed.
Tell us exactly what the device is doing
Include the make, model and what the device normally does. Does it fail to power on, stop after a few minutes or have a visibly damaged connection? Explain when the problem began and whether there was a drop, spill, power event or earlier repair attempt.
Photos of the outside, model label and visible damage may help with an initial conversation. Remove private information from any image before sending it. You do not need to open the enclosure or expose a circuit board to make an enquiry.
Discuss suitability before bringing equipment
Repair options depend on the fault, access to parts and the device's condition. Some equipment is better handled by its manufacturer or a specialist in that product. Ask first, including whether an existing warranty or service arrangement applies, so the next step fits the equipment.
An initial description cannot establish every fault or guarantee a successful repair. Discuss the assessment, likely costs and how any further work will be agreed. The value of the device and the availability of a replacement may affect what you decide to spend.
Game console repairs
Mark has carried out console reflow work in the past and now has an experienced console repair specialist he can call on. Tell us the console model, symptoms and any previous repair attempts so we can discuss whether that is a suitable next step.
Mention saved games or other files you need to keep before agreeing to work. Repairing a console and recovering its data are separate questions; discuss both if the files matter.
Prepare for the assessment safely
Stop using equipment with a burning smell, visible battery swelling or damaged power connections, and tell us about it when you call. Do not open a power supply or attempt a repair while it is connected. Discuss how to handle damaged equipment before transporting it.
If the device stores files or settings you need, say so before repair work is planned. Explain which accessories it normally uses and ask what should accompany it. Our Swan View postal address is not a walk-in workshop, so please arrange any handover in advance.
For a custom hardware idea rather than a fault, Mark's MZS project enquiry page is a useful starting point.
