About Booragoon
Booragoon holds the City of Melville Civic Centre, at 10 Almondbury Road. The City's Melville City Centre Structure Plan guides the area's change from a suburban shopping centre to a mixed use city centre. That plan is under review as the Booragoon City Centre Precinct Structure Plan. PC FIX-IT has no shop here; visits come to your address.
What is happening to the library in Booragoon?
The City of Melville says the Civic Square Library will close in late 2026, with a pop-up library in the City precinct during building works. A new Library, Museum and Arts Centre is planned for the Davy Road carpark next to the Civic Centre. The City proposes construction from 2027 and completion in 2029, and says those dates may change. If you relied on library computers, check the pop-up's services with the City.
If your own computer is the reason you used the library, start with what to check when a computer will not start.
Do you visit businesses around Westfield Booragoon?
Ask. The City says Scentre Group bought a 50% interest in the former Garden City Shopping Centre in late 2019. The WAPC approved an expansion with conditions on 9 February 2023. For an office or shop visit near the centre, give the suite or shop number, the building entry and who can sign off on the work.
Offices and shops can arrange onsite business IT support.
