How Mark helps

  1. Tell Mark what's happening

Call or send a message in your own words. You don't need the technical name.

  2. Agree the plan and cost first

Mark asks a few questions, explains the options and quotes the job. Work starts once you approve the quote.

  3. Fixed, checked and explained

Mark does the agreed work and checks with you before doing anything extra. Before he finishes, he goes over the result with you, so you know what was fixed.

How a job works, step by step

A useful first check

  • Write down which service has stopped working, who is affected and whether there is a safe way to keep operating. Compare one workstation with another without changing shared settings.
  • Identify your existing IT provider, the person who can approve work and where backup information is kept. Tell us about upcoming deadlines and any changes made just before the fault.

When to stop and ask for help

Avoid restarting shared servers, restoring backups or changing network settings without agreement from the responsible person. If an incident may involve unauthorised access, preserve the messages and error details and involve your existing IT contact.

What we can check with you

We can help establish the scope of a workstation, printer or network problem, agree on access and disruption, and discuss recovery or planned improvements. Existing providers and business priorities shape the next step.

Your PC FIX-IT contact is Mark Zoro Segec. Tell him what you have already tried before arranging the next step.

Official guidance

What to have ready

  1. Tell us what has stopped working, how many people are affected and any deadlines.
  2. Identify the person who can approve access and work. Keep passwords out of your enquiry.
  3. For planned work, describe the result you need and the equipment or systems already in place.

Already have an IT provider?

You may just need someone onsite to check a workstation, connect a printer or help investigate a network fault. Tell Mark who normally looks after your systems and what they have asked you to check. We can discuss a defined job alongside your existing support arrangement.

Before booking, establish who can approve the work, which systems can be accessed and who needs the findings afterwards. If equipment is managed by an employer, school or another provider, include that contact before arranging changes.

Planning a visit to your workplace

Mark also works in Education IT integration through an existing contractor arrangement. Read about his Working with Children Check and construction safety card, and discuss any requirements specific to your site.

Mention visitor sign-in, inductions, screening requirements and any times when equipment must stay available. Ask about the credentials relevant to your site before arranging a visit, so the requirements can be checked for the person attending.

A useful starting point is a short list of affected devices, the task that is failing and the person coordinating the job. Keep passwords, student or customer records and internal network documents out of the initial enquiry.

We also help with shared printers and scanning, servers and hosted systems and IP CCTV networks. See examples of his earlier PC FIX-IT work, or explore software and hardware project enquiries.

Our guide to choosing business IT support covers access, responsibilities and handover questions to discuss before work starts.

Explore onsite business IT support for an agreed visit, or office moves, IT setup and sit-stand desks if you are changing your workspace. For school equipment, start with our school and managed-computer guide.

Talk through the options

Describe the problem, your suburb and the best way to reach you. We will discuss what help is appropriate and arrange a time if a visit is needed.
